Tease Them To Read Your Single Posts!

Most of us maybe tired of the traditional way of the blog posts format on our first page. I mean, the typical first page that displays at least five recent post that you have. Those posts reveals the whole content of your write up..

But, we want somehow to tease our readers to click the title or they should have been directed to the single page that displays only that post. What can we do then?

What I can advise is that we need to somehow let the home page of our blogs displays only couple of words that will tease and give an interesting idea about our post. In this way too, we can manage to put some ads of course to monetize our site. Our opportunity then will be maximize for ad contents and of course hits for pages to pages since readers will need to do that in order to read the whole content.

If you got your Main Index Template (index.php) you can look for the code that says the_content( ). You just simply replace this with the_excerpt( ). Note that there might be arguments/text inside the parenthesis but it’s okay that should still do the trick! Also, this is applicable to Wordpress only.
