PRIVATE EDUCATION STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (PESFA)
I was kindda digging stuff at home one afternoon. I found my certificates and my attention diverted to the my PESFA notice of award school year 2003-2004 for my Bachelor of Science and Information Technology course. It reminded me of my high schools friends (and nope, not my batch mates but real high school friends from ANS), to which I recently sent a message to one of them to take initiative as early as now to look for scholarship grants.

I sat for awhile and read my notice of award. I checked some resources online to share this information to you and to those of my graduating high school friends.
And here are the information about the PESFA Scholarship that you oath to know.

Hi Kamil,
As far as my experience with the PESFA scholarship grant, it is bonded with the rules din ng school na gusto mo pasukin. So, they might require you an average ng high school report card mo (afaik, that’s what scholarship basic requirements). Try visiting a private school in your area and ask what course they offer for PESFA. Aside sa mga requirements stated above, the school will be the one to decide along as to who they will submit to CHED as their PESFA grantee. This is what I know, way back my PESFA grant last year 2003.
Should you have any other questions, please free to comment or send me an email.
Thanks,

Hi Kamil,
Sorry for the late reply. Just got busy lang po sa work. Here is my answer to your questions.
Q : “Salamat po sa response ño. question po ulit,so pwede po pala na sa mga private schools nalang aq magtungo kaysa sa ched regional office?”
A : Yes, you can go to your nearest or desired na private school to ask about if they have PESFA scholarship.
Q : “Lahat po ba ng private school/colleges ay may PESFA?”
A : No. There are Selected and Private Participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). These are the participating private schools that offers PESFA. Each Institution has its own CHED-priority courses.
For instance, Institution A offers Engineering Courses for PESFA students and Institution B offers Information Technology Courses for PESFA students. You would like to pursue Information Technology as the course, so you would apply for PESFA scholarship to Institution B.
Q : “Kayo po pwede po ba malaman kung anu-ano ang mga ginawa ño or requirements na pinass ño para po magkaroon din po ko ng idea kung ano din ung maaring ipagawa sakin”
A : I just followed the same requirements as stated above to this blog post, to wit;
E. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
F. DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS
G. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
H. FINANCIAL BENEFITS
Depende din siguro sa school, they might ask for additional requirements needed.
I hope I am able to answer you Kamil. I am hoping that you will be able to get your Scholarship desired this coming School Year 2010-2011.

Hi Kamil,
There might be differences before and now on the processes. What I had before was just submitting the necessary requirements and making sure that I passed the entrance exam on the school itself that offers the PESFA scholarship.
It was the school who chosen me to be a part of the Scholarship grant.
Yes, Bachelor of Science and Information Technology (BSIT) ang tinake ko. I studied dito sa Cebu at Cebu Institute of Technology.
Thanks,

Hi Lj,
I’m honestly not sure if it’s for incoming freshmen only. However, you can try asking this information to the school you are intending to pursue your course that offers the PESFA scholarship or to CHED Office.
If this is not the right scholarship grant that qualifies you, you may also find other scholarships offered by CHED through this link, http://www.ched.gov.ph/scholarships/local.html
Thanks,
