I voted : US Election Watch 2008!
Written on Thursday, November 6th, 2008 by: Athan
It was a great experience on how the US exercise the right to vote. It’s amazing that through the machine they used for a centralized vote count, results in a couple of minutes are at hand.

Crowd cheers for their candidates Barack Obama and John Mccain. But, in just hours in the event last day, it then was announced that Barack Obama wins the presidential election!
On the event at the SM Atrium there are a lot of known local personalities that were present. Among them were Mayor Jonas Cortes of Mandaue City, Honorable Raul Del Mar, and Honorable Neressa Soon Ruiz. Local media reporters are also there. Rico Lucena of ABS-CBN Cebu and Bobby Nalzaro of GMA 7 were present.
I personally joined the mock voting and experienced such a great convenience on how it was. Hopefully, we will have the kind of process on our incoming elections here in the Philippines.
A part of their political tradition that is far away about acceptance of winning and losing on the election here in the Philippines is that, the presidential candidate who did not win will call the winning presidential candidate and congratulates him. They will also vow to support his presidency. Contrary to what we have here that it takes next election and still no one accepts that they’ve lose before.

yes you are right athan billion of people around the world are very happy with the result!..Philippine Government is too far compare to U.S Government. To filipino people: we shared the joy and success about the result of the election in US not even thinking about the situation here in our own land!!
Hay nangandoy pa jud ang comelec nga makapalit og nga machines nga gigamit sa election sa US, unsa me mga buang? kabalo na me nga nangita ra mo og source para maka korakot mo..nawong lang daan ni abalos naporma na na og piso ang agtang! maka lagot huna hunaon…just look at Loren Legarda, when she run the last election ug napildi? unsay gibuhat niya? sege og pasaka og kaso ni Noli deCastro kay siya jud kono ang dapat muda-og, Look at Gloria Arroyo, before sa vice president pa siya ni Joseph mura siya og angel karon ang sungay ni Arroyo taas pa niya..kanus-a pa kaha ta kita og pariha ni Barack Obama diri, bisan unsaon di jud moominto ang Pilipinas, we want someone nga maoy muhaw-as nato sa kalisod, why not dili ta maningkamot og atoa..gusto ra ta magsalig sa lain..wala mo maulaw sigi mo ingon nga ” We are proud to be a Filipino” unsa may atong ika pasigarbo sa atong pagka Filipino??? kanang atong mga bag-ong bayani nga nanarbaho sa gawas?nag pa maid naman lang gani nang uban para naa silay ikapakaon sa ilang pamilya!
hay mao nay giingon kitay pinaka baga nga nawong sa tibook tawo sa kalibutan! what happen atong naay tv station sa UK na gi discriminate ang Filipina? correct me if i’m wrong Philippine Government nangayu og public apology para sa gibuhat nila..unsay gitubag sa pikas nga side?
Hopefully maka mata na tang tanan! Walay lain makatabang nato kung di kita ra..walay lain mutabang sa Pilipinas kung di kita rang Filipino..Believe me..if we will take this situation seriously dako ang mausab sa atong nasod..we still have the chance to make our Dreams come true..
Start now…make the changes…post sa: Athanobs.net..char.com!!!
