Google Calendar sends SMS to your Mobile Phone

20 April, 2010 | Athan | No Comment

I’m recently back using my Google Calendar to organize my schedule.

One of the best thing I liked about it, is its FREE service to send my composed schedules to my mobile phone to keep me reminded of the daily TO-DO-THINGS I have, even if I am offline from my computer.

Activating your mobile to receive your Google Calendar schedules is easy through the following enumerated steps;

1. Login to your Google Calendar
2. Under ‘My Calendar’ click on settings.
3. On the ‘Calendar Settings’ page, click on ‘Mobile Setup’ tab.
4. Choose the ‘Country’ you are on and enter your ‘Mobile Number’
5. A verification code will be sent to your mobile phone that you will need to enter under ‘Verification Code’ to finish the setup.

Note, that for Philippines, there are only three carriers or mobile networks that supports this service. Globe Telecom, Smart, and Sun Cellular.

I am using Sun Cellular and this works great for me!
